Welcome! / A Short Intro

I started this site because I wanted to share my favorite places, stories, and foods, work on my photography, and recount a few lessons learned while traveling. My hope is to inspire others to travel more and share in the same wonder that I’ve experienced while trekking across our amazing planet. My writing also consists of a mix of long and short form content that I hope will read more like a book but with a more dynamic format.

Access My Travel Content

I have several types of travel content on my site:

Food

Highlights of my food treks to include my favorite foods and drinks, cooking classes, and other foodie experiences that I’ve found most memorable. I’ll also make it a point to talk about food that I’ve found generally accessible and affordable. Because sometimes, all you need is the help of a few locals to find the best tasting dishes in any given location.

Photography

I’ve come a long way with my photography since my trip to Iceland and thought it would be fun to document my journey and share some of my favorite photos along the way. Also, minus a few shots taken by friends (and properly credited), all of the photos on the site are my own.

Live

I’ve witnessed a variety of live performances across all genres while traveling the world and want to share my favorite videos of these productions in this section along with some commentary. These shows can range across the entire live events spectrum including music, theater, street performances, sports, cinematic experiences, dance crews, etc.

Outdoor Trekking

There are so many different types of treks, but for me, nothing beats playing outside – whether its hiking, sailing, skiing, snowboarding, or multi-day trekking expeditions in the traditional sense. Anything outdoors really that is worth mentioning eg. when I rode a camel around the Sahara Desert which was super fun but so uncomfortable!

Lessons Learned

I’ve made so many mistakes while traveling and hence, have a repository of lessons learned that have helped me to travel smarter. These are posted for informational purposes only and are only in my opinion (as laid out in the disclaimer).

Destinations

My favorite places that I’ve visited around the world, organized in a chapters format, starting with the first chapter on Iceland where it all began. My goal is to release a new chapter every month. Each chapter will provide points of interest, cultural background and highlights, ideas for activities, and a map for reference.
